Aluminum ingots for remelting GB/T1196-2008 instead of GB/T1196-2002, GB12768-1991, GB/T8644-2000

This standard was revised and adopted ISO115:2003 "Aluminum Ingot Grade and Composition for Remelting", and it was re-drafted according to ISO115:2003.

In order to facilitate comparison, a comparison list of the clauses of this standard and the corresponding international standard clauses is listed in the informative Appendix A.

This standard was modified when ISO115:2003 was adopted. These technical differences are marked with a single vertical line in the margins of the terms they refer to. The main technical differences are as follows:

——The grades of refined aluminum ingots in Table 1 of ISO115:2003 and the series of grades in Table 2 are not used;

——Added Al99.90, Al99.85, Al99.60, Al99.50, Al99.00 grades;

——The specific requirements for steel belts for packaging have been added;

-The normative appendix A in ISO115:2003 is deleted.

This standard replaces GB/T1196-2002 "Aluminum Ingots for Remelting", GB12768-1991 "Electric Aluminum Ingots for Remelting", and GB/T8644-2000 "Finished Aluminum Ingots for Remelting".

Compared with GB/T1196-2002, GB12768-1991 and GB/T8644-2000, the main changes of this standard are as follows:

——Integrate the grades of GB/T1196-2002 and GB12768-1991;

—— Incorporate the grades of refined aluminum ingots for remelting into YS/T665—2008;

——Delete the Al99.70 brand in GB/T1196-2002 and the Al99.65E brand in GB12768-1991;

——Add Al99.6E grade, cancel the "A" in the original Al99.70A grade, and keep the other grades unchanged;

——Adjusted Si and Cu in Al99.7E in GB12768-1991, and added three impurity elements of Mg, Zn and Mn;

——Re-regulated the heavy metal elements Cd, Pb, As, and increased the requirements for Hg;

—— Re-regulated B, Cr and Mn+Ti+Cr+V in Al99.7E and Al99.6E;

——Re-regulated product labeling.
